TJ Pavlov attended Western Michigan University to study Urban Planning. After college, he moved to Chicago to work for a consulting firm doing feasability studies for municipal development projects. His work as an educator began as a technology teacher, where he then moved into the social sciences sector where he both taught History and Psychology. While working with young people in the classroom, he developed a deep interest in the process by which youth map their lives after graduation. That led to launching an internship program at Chicago Tech Academy and leading the restructuring of a traditional post-secondary asdvising model. Helping young people design an adult life that they are proud of and in control of, motivates him as an educator...all while designing his own life alongside them.
