Liz Williams-Clark

Liz Williams-Clark

As Director of Human Resources, Liz Williams-Clark is focused on supporting our employees at both the network office and direct operated campuses. Previously Liz  oversaw high-impact projects and initiatives, focused on establishing network-wide systems, routines, structures, and communications to achieve organizational excellence. Prior to joining CICS, Liz led the Teacher Leadership Development team at Teach For America where she coached managers, led the redesign of teacher effectiveness metrics, and united a multi-layered team under a common charge of empowering students with the academics, critical consciousness and agency to pursue the opportunities of their choosing.

Liz has a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University and a Bachelor or Arts in Psychology and Gender Studies from Indiana University, Bloomington. In her little spare time, Liz gets odd enjoyment from organizing and cleaning small spaces, planning the family’s calendar, and seeing that her busy household of two little boys is fueled by fun and creativity … and dinosaurs.

Why do you work at CICS?: Liz believes that the people are an organization's most valuable resource. Teaching is one of the hardest and most important professions, which she knows to be true from her own teaching experience, yet it can be undervalued. At CICS, she advocates so that CICS staff have the best possible total rewards package and are kept safe, healthy and satisfied.
