Sitoria Townsend is a curious individual who just so happens to also be a storyteller by trade. She began her career in Memphis, Tennessee where she worked as a journalist for the New Tri-State Defender and practiced multimedia as a production assistant at WHBQ FOX 13 News. After receiving her B.A. in Communications she taught for seven years. She now has married her love for education and media to fulfill the role of Communications Specialist for the CICS network.
When she's not creating, you can catch her being a plant mother or spending time with her daughter, Savannah. Sitoria loves learning about new cultures and enjoys traveling - especially to places where she can practice her Spanish skills!
Why do you work at CICS?: Sitoria chose CICS because of the organization's commitment to providing a quality education to students, but also their efforts in making their educators and staff feel valued and respected through diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
