Yesica Rufino-Perez is CICS' Engagement Partner. She was previously the Chief Governance Officer and Managing Director of Network Policy at CICS. Yesica is responsible for leading efforts to ensure compliance with local, state and federal mandates with the aim of providing all students within our network with equitable, high-quality instruction. Prior to joining CICS, Yesica served as Director of Operations at The Montessori School of Englewood, leading school operations and compliance.
Yesica also worked at Chicago Public Schools’ Office of Innovation and Incubation as Manager of New School Incubation, supporting new charter and alternative schools through their first year of operation.
Yesica is a member of the Illinois Advisory Council on Bilingual Education and has a B.A. in international studies from Loyola University Chicago. In her spare time, Yesica enjoys learning about new cultures and cuisines near and far.
Why do you work for CICS?: Yesica's passion is supporting CICS students and the mission at every level. Her passion began when she was working as the Founding Family Care Coordinator at DC Public Schools’ Early Stages Center, where she supported immigrant families to gain access to Special Education services.
