Riley Newman

Manager of Data Strategy & Systems

As a Manager of Data Strategy & Systems for CICS, Riley Newman manages the developing, rolling out, monitoring and improving data systems and tools for staff at all levels. He is focused on providing critical analysis and thought partnership to interpret and use data to drive performance improvements, promoting a more data driven culture across CICS.

Riley joins the team after some time as a Math and English teacher in South Korea. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University with an emphasis on Statistics. Outside of the office, Riley can be found playing recreational sports, video games and cooking various dishes. 

Why do you work at CICS?: Riley believes education is the great equalizer in our world. It helps to level the playing field for someone who was born with everything to someone who was not. It's effects on people transcends far past the 12th grade where it ends. In an ideal world there would be a strong public school educational option for everyone, but that is not the case. CICS helps to bridge that gap in quality, giving students choice, for one of the most important things in their young lives.
