Nelson Acevedo

Facilities Manager

Nelson Acevedo has 18 years of experience in the Facilities Department. He started as a custodian at CICS Basil and was promoted to Custodian Supervisor. Later he worked for Civitas Education Partners heading up the Facilities Department. At CICS he currently ensures five CICS school buildings are in top shape. Most recently he became the Facilities Back Office’s Facility Manager, overseeing the custodial and maintenance work at CICS Lloyd Bond, CICS Loomis, and CICS Longwood. Nelson strives to create a safe and warm place for all students to learn and to build strong relationships within the department to help others meet their goals.

Why do you work at CICS?   Nelson is proud of the work he has done for our campuses. He never gives up on anything related to his job. He is willing to go above and beyond to help the CICS network achieve its goals.
