CICS Celebrates 20 Years!
The entire CICS network came together for a fantastic kickoff as we celebrated the our 20th anniversary!
Special thanks to our energetic MC's, Sami Smith, Stacey Shells and Marcell Kirk! We kicked off the program with a moving video that included testimonials from parents, teachers and students.
It was great to hear from Beth Purvis, Education Secretary for the State of Illinois and former CEO of CICS. We were inspired as our new CEO, Elizabeth Shaw, shared her Vision of Excellence and the exciting blueprint to drive innovation across the network.
Our wonderful Arts 4 Students dancers from CICS Longwood gave a moving performance.
Each of our brilliant SMO leaders shared their strategy and joined their mascots in leading enthusiastic school cheers. We heard from one of our successful CICS Northtown alumni, Hanna Saba, and one of our rock star leaders, Kenyatta Starks. Lulu Torres, student from CICS Irving Park rang the school bell to wrap up the program. The CICS Board of Directors, CICS founders and Dr. Janice Jackson, CPS' Chief Education Officer were among the dignitaries that joined us to celebrate 20 amazing years.
